Ministerial Consent no. CO00327, with activity no. E004407, were issued in 2023 and extended into 2024 to govern conservation works by Cork County Council to the walls of the Knights Hospitaller church at Mourneabbey. Extensive conservation works have been carried out to the church over the past two decades and this present phase concentrated on the north wall of the nave. The works were regularly monitored and recorded. No sub-surface excavation was required and no artefacts were recovered during the works.
