Twenty-nine linear test trenches with a combined length of 4735m were excavated across the proposed development site. Natural subsoil was identified at a depth of between 0.2m and 0.5m below modern surface level. While evidence of agricultural activity was revealed in most of the excavated trenches, nothing of archaeological significance was encountered during the testing programme.
