Archaeological monitoring of an extension to a single house site was undertaken to fulfil a planning condition from Cork County Council. The house is located in the townland of Dawstown, to the north-east of Wise’s Cross Roads, civil parish of Garrycloyne and barony of Muskerry East. The village of Blarney is located approximately 3km to the south-east. Two ringforts, one includes a souterrain (CO062-149, CO062-150001 & 002) and a standing stone (CO062-151) are in a nearby field. All ground disturbance associated with the development was monitored and no archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
