Test trenching was undertaken at the site of a proposed carpark adjacent to Our Lady of Lourdes church, Toovahera (or Toobahera). The proposal site is uneven, rocky, rough pasture with exposed limestone bedrock notable across the site. Six test trenches were excavated; the stratigraphy observed in all six trenches was similar with between 0.2m and 0.5m of topsoil overlying variously pale orangish-brown clay (glacial till), limestone bedrock, and limestone gravel.

No sub-surface archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were observed.
