The archaeological watching brief was undertaken on 23 and 24 May 2024, at Niblock Road, Antrim, Co. Antrim.
Only eleven of the test trenches within Phase 1A were undertaken, being those between Niblock Road and Orkney Street. Of these, ten were fully excavated to the natural glacial subsoil. One, Trench 5, was not excavated as it coincided with the location of a live power line. Nothing of an archaeological nature was uncovered during trenching.
