Test trenching took place from the 10 January to 20 March 2024, with 219 trenches mechanically excavated. Of the 219 test trenches, 87 trenches contain potential archaeological features in the form of ditches, curvilinear features, burnt spreads, stake-holes, and pits containing charcoal, burnt bone and struck flint.
One sherd of prehistoric pottery was recovered from a feature in Trench 52 and 11 pieces of struck flint have been recovered from nine different trenches.
