Twelve archaeological test trenches with a total length of 495m, were excavated within a proposed development area to the south of Weaver’s Square in the town of Baltinglass, County Wicklow. The site is partially located within the zone of notification associated with the historic town of Baltinglass (WI027-024----).
A 4m-wide linear feature, interpreted as a possible pre-nineteenth-century boundary ditch, road or modern service trench, was identified in Trenches 8 to 12. No archaeology was found.
