Archaeological monitoring of construction groundworks was undertaken from 3 to 6 July 2023 at Ballygerry Townland, Co Wexford. The site is located west of Rosslare Harbour and will be used as a temporary overflow parking area to facilitate the strategically important upgrade of Rosslare Europort. Excavation was undertaken across the area with the aid of a combination bulldozer and a 20-tonne mechanical excavator equipped with a toothless grading bucket. No archaeological structures, features or layers were recorded. No further works are recommended.
