Archaeological monitoring took place of a large-scale residential development with a site area of c. 5.67 ha (developable area of c. 4.31 ha), on lands at Clonard Little, between 31 July and 25 August 2023.
The entirety of the site was topsoil stripped during this period. Five burnt spreads of probable prehistoric date and a small brick clamp of 18th- to 19th-century date were uncovered. These were protected and are currently scheduled to be archaeologically resolved in early 2024.
