Archaeological monitoring of a school modular development took place from April to August 2023. It was found that, aside from the very north and the very south ends of the two modular units' construction zones, all other locations that were excavated were composed entirely of modern construction materials that were directly associated with the construction of the adjacent school buildings and yard areas during the late 20th century.
Some sporadic probable 20th-century demolition debris of 19th-century building(s) was found on the very northern aspect of the site. A cache of oyster shells was found in a duct trench excavation at the southern end of Unit 2 and within a lens of original topsoil. As this was found in association with red brick fragments in the same topsoil lens, it was concluded that this cache is most likely relatively modern.
