Archaeological test excavation took place on 20 February 2023 in advance of a residential development. The high density development was situated on the site of a former single residential dwelling and garden.
No archaeological sites, activity, materials, features or deposits were encountered. A field ditch as part of a former 19th-century (or earlier) agricultural field boundary was encountered and recorded. 20th-century deposition was encountered in the form of residual remains of a 20th-century dwelling previously situated on the site.
