Archaeological monitoring, which was preceded by an archaeological impact assessment and visual impact assessment, took place in April 2023.
The development involved the construction of a dwelling house with carport, garage, waste water treatment system & entrance along with all ancillary site works.
The topsoil stripping exposed the underlying natural subsoil throughout the entirety of the footprint of the development. It was found the exposed surface was entirely natural throughout and there were no features, anomalies, soil discolouration, etc, that could indicate the presence of archaeology.
