The site at Bohalas, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon, was archaeologically assessed by test trenching. The assessment involved the excavation of five test trenches within the footprint of the proposed development. Each trench measured 1.8m in width and a total of 105m of linear trenching was excavated. The test trenches were excavated to the natural subsoil, which varied. No archaeological features or deposits were identified.
The work is now complete.
