A ringditch was identified at the site following geophysical survey 19R0166 and verified by test excavation 19E0639. Full excavation was subsequently undertaken in May 2023 under the current licence. The ringditch had overall dimensions of 5.2m north-south x 5.1m. The ditch measured 0.5-0.85m wide x 0.25-0.4m deep and enclosed an internal space of 3.8m north-south by 4.1m. A sample of Prunus charcoal retrieved from the ditch was radiocarbon dated to 382-174 BC (UBA-52704; 2209±38 BP). No other archaeological objects were retrieved. Subsequent monitoring of topsoil stripping across the site identified no new sites of archaeological significance.
