Test excavations took place in a site within the townlands of Kinoristown, Ballintry, Rowan, and Belgree, Co. Meath. A total of 20 archaeological sites were identified during the course of assessment that also included a desktop survey and geophysical survey (Bird & Young 2023; Licence no. 23R0027). Trenches were principally located to investigate the results of the geophysical survey. 35 trenches were excavated in total. The 20 sites comprised Recorded Monuments ME051-015001 and ME051-015002 ring-ditches; and ME051-004-Ringfort; as well as four undated enclosures; four burnt mound sites; 3 other possible ring-ditches, undated settlement activity and a field system associated with one of the enclosures.
