Archaeological monitoring of the excavation of groundworks was carried out. The stratigraphy revealed sod and topsoil (0.15m) overlying the orange-brown clay and the partial remains of the house dating to the 19th-20th century and indicated on the OSi historic edition 6-inch map. The soil was spread out in order to facilitate the retrieval of finds; a number of fragments of 20th-century pottery were revealed. The subsoil was excavated for a maximum depth of 0.1m and no features and/or finds of archaeological significance were revealed during the course of the monitoring of the excavations.
