Archaeological monitoring of a 53-house development in a brown field site took place between 15 April and 18 May 2023. This formed the final part of the development, with the preceding phase having taken place on 21 February and 16 December 2022.
The ground works entailed foundation excavation within the brown field site zone. The dimensions of the trenches varied between 1m and 1.6m wide, and 0.6-1.2m in depth. The stratigraphy consisted of minimal topsoil overlying pale yellow-grey glacial till. No archaeology was encountered during this phase of works.
