At the request of Michael Kavanagh from MVK Architects on behalf of the Representative Church Body, Leixlip Parish, an archaeological impact assessment and archaeological testing were undertaken for the proposed works at St Mary’s Church, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. This was requested by National Monuments Service, as heritage-related observations/recommendations coordinated by the Development Applications Unit.
Archaeological testing of the proposed metre box location area revealed that the ground at this location has been disturbed previously.
There are no further archaeological recommendations for the insertion of the new metre box.
