Archaeological monitoring was recommended as condition of planning for the development of a new farmyard in Kilfenora townland near Fenit. A full archaeological presence was maintained during the removal of topsoil at the footprint of the new farm buildings. A number of features relating to modern agricultural activity including drains and a surfaced farm track were identified but no features or finds of archaeological significance were found in any of the areas that were stripped of topsoil.
