Monitoring was carried out during laying of a 1,097m long watermain along Clash Road, east of Tralee town centre. The northern tip of the scheme lies within the Zone of Notification for KE029-259 (enclosure) in the neighbouring townland of Muing East. The entirety of the pipe was laid in an open-cut trench and most of the main pipe trench and some of the service connections were subject to archaeological monitoring. No archaeological deposits or artefacts were observed in any part of the scheme and there was no evidence in the pipe trench of enclosure KE029-259 extending into the roadway.
