The three machine-dug trenches were opened to test the proposed house development with its associated
foundations, service lines, access and landscaping. The only feature noted was geological in nature,
which consisted of the exposure, at the western, upslope ends of each of the three trenches, natural subsoil consisting of the stony limestone-derived glacial till. The lower, downslope ends of the
trenches, in contrast, revealed a subsoil consisting of a stone-free, yellow till. Nothing of
archaeological interest was uncovered in any of the trenches,
