The site at Ballycoolin Road, Cappoge, Co. Dublin, was subject to archaeological excavation. Features of archaeological significance were identified previously during test trenching under licence 22E0326. A disturbed burnt stone spread C10 measuring 8.5m by 12m and between 0.1-0.2m in depth with associated pits identified during testing was exposed and excavated. An additional burnt stone spread, C3, measuring 7m by 6.6m and between 0.02-0.2m in depth was recorded to the north of it with associated features, including pits, troughs, post-holes, and area of burning excavated. In total 57 archaeological contexts were recorded during the excavation, all were excavated by hand and preserved by record.
