Monitoring at a site for a new school at River Road, Pelletstown, Dublin 15 took place from 2020 to Sept 2023. These works uncovered the remains of a large sandpit quarry and associated metalled path. Nineteenth-century backfilling of the quarry and landscaping associated with Pelletstown House was also in evidence. In addition to this there was some evidence of a brickfield at or near the site from a layer of brick dust and scorched earth.
