Archaeological testing was carried out to study the impact, if any, on the archaeological and historical resource of proposed development which is located at Site G of Horizon Logistic Park in Silloge, Co. Dublin. Test trenching was carried out over the course of three days from 17 April 2023 using a mechanical excavator fitted with a flat grading bucket. No previously unrecorded archaeological features or deposits of archaeological potential were identified during the course of this investigation within the proposed development site.
The site has been subject to a level of previous disturbance associated with a former construction compound and the construction of a temporary road, therefore the site was deemed unsuitable for geophysical survey.
