A programme of archaeological monitoring of groundworks was undertaken in association with the redevelopment of Balbriggan Harbour. The development work consisted of the insertion of water and electricity services, metering stations, overhead lighting and railings on the West and East Pier, as well as the repair and refurbishment to existing masonry features. No archaeology was found during the works.
