A programme of archaeological monitoring at Block J, Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park, Dublin, was carried out in 2023 during the full refurbishment of Block J (a Protected Structure) to provide offices for An Garda Síochána. No archaeological remains were identified other than evidence for the mid-19th-century construction of Block J (as part of the Constabulary Barracks and Riding School for the Dublin Reserve Force). No archaeological material, features or deposits were identified or disturbed during this programme, and no archaeological artefacts or environmental samples were retained.
