Archaeological testing was carried out on a development site in December 2023 following geophysical survey. In total 23 trenches measuring 1940 linear meters was excavated across the site and targeted on geophysical anomalies. A potential fulacht fiadh site was identified on the north bank of the Loughlinstown River.
