The site at Rath Little, Naul, Co. Dublin, was archaeologically assessed by test trenching which involved the excavation of eight test trenches within the site,
each measuring 2m in width with a total of 916m of linear trenches excavated. The test trenches were excavated to the natural subsoil, which consisted of orange and grey sandy boulder clay with pockets of grey marl. No archaeological features or deposits were identified within the excavated trenches. Consequently, no further
archaeological work is recommended at this site.
