Archaeological testing was carried out over the course of two days from 10 March 2023 using a mechanical excavator fitted with a flat grading bucket. A total of 10 trenches were excavated measuring 900 linear metres in length. The trenches targeted geophysical anomalies and open green space to fully investigate the archaeological potential of the site. Testing revealed three areas of archaeological significance, which have been designated as Archaeological Areas 1–3. These comprise:
• AA1: The remains of a pit.
• AA2: A spread of possible burnt mound material.
• AA3: A curvilinear ditched feature.
