A limited programme of archaeological test-trenching was carried out on the site of a proposed apartment complex off Main Street, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. The site is occupied by an early 19th-century two-storey house and 20th-century extensions. The remainder of the site was in use as storage and parking. A number of shipping containers were also present on the site. It was agreed prior to the testing that the location of the proposed trenches would be cleared in advance of the works, however this was not carried out in advance of the works. As such, it was not possible to excavate all the proposed trenches.

Three trenches were excavated during the testing programme, one within the carpark at the front of the site and two to the rear. No archaeology was identified in any of the trenches excavated.

Up to 1.5m of build-up material was present to the south of the existing building, used to level up a previously sloping site for the current car park. To the rear of the plot numerous modern rubbish pits were evident cut into the natural subsoil.

A trench was opened across the townland boundary between Blanchardstown and Corduff, which was found to have had a modern drain inserted in it prior to being infilled with rubble. There was no indication of earlier material surviving within the ditch.
