An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on 13 February 2023 adjacent to Donaghadee Motte, County Down. Archaeological monitoring of preliminary ground testing was undertaken to inform design in advance of improvement on the areas outside the scheduled zone of Donaghadee motte (DOW003:003).
Three trial pits were excavated by hand; no archaeological material was uncovered within the investigation area.
