Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on the central section of trench excavation associated with the laying of water pipes on the Labbacallee Water Rehabilitation Scheme. The monitored works were located south-east of the village of Glanworth in the townland of Labbacallee, adjacent to recorded monuments CO027-086 (wedge tomb), CO027-169 (cist) and CO027-085 (ringfort).

In the monitored areas it was observed that limestone bedrock and natural geologically deposited glacial till lay directly beneath the road surface material. No archaeological material was observed.
