Archaeological testing was carried out in advance of development and following a geophysical survey. The geophysical survey identified a bi-vallate circular enclosure (interpreted as a ringfort) inside the north-western edge of the development site (Nicholls 2022). The development was redesigned to facilitate preservation in situ of the ringfort within a 20m buffer.

Eleven trenches were excavated across the remainder of the development site. No features or finds of archaeological significance were identified.
