Ten linear test trenches with a combined length of 350 metres were excavated across a proposed development site. Natural subsoil was identified at a depth of between 0.15m and 0.45m below modern surface level. While evidence of agricultural activity and land drainage was revealed in some of the excavated trenches, nothing of archaeological significance was encountered during the testing programme.
