Monitoring of groundworks in advance of development was undertaken in Anngrove and Killacloyne in April and May 2023. The groundworks entailed the reduction of overburden and topsoil down to the upper levels of the underlying natural subsoil across the development site. Much of the area had previously been disturbed and nothing of archaeological significance was revealed during the topsoil stripping works.
