An archaeological assessment including desk-based research and test trenching was undertaken of a proposed flood defence scheme in the townlands of Knocknagoug, Commons and Creevagh More, Quin, Co. Clare. Five test trenches were excavated across the footprint of the site, one along the eastern bank of a small stream and four in a greenfield area to the south. No archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were identified in any of the trenches.
