Archaeological monitoring of groundworks associated with a housing development at Quingrdens, Quin, Co. Clare concluded that the site is essentially archaeologically sterile.
Two low, above ground, undated, but probable post-medieval, stone walls were identified during earlier testing at the site (2022:543). Monitoring of topsoil stripping and the removal of the two stone walls revealed them to overlay surface bedrock with patches of fractured stone; no archaeological finds or features were observed relating to these structures or across the wider site area.
