An archaeological watching brief was undertaken at Lands at Bankshead Lane/Tower Road, Larne, Co. Antrim. Of the recommended 37 test trenches within the Phase 1 area, at the client’s request only three of the test trenches (TT5, TT6, and TT9), covering a single house plot, were excavated.
The area was heavily disturbed by the modern school demolition material, with large amounts of modern brick and building rubble present. No archaeological remains were uncovered.
