Intermittent periods of archaeological watching brief were undertaken between December 2022 and September 2023 at 13 to 25 Castle Place Belfast. The foundations for three lift shafts and various services as well as locations for new ground beams and flooring were monitored. No archaeological material of any sort was uncovered within the investigation area, and no further evidence for the site of the original Belfast Castle was encountered.
