From February 2021 to February 2022 Shanarc Archaeology Ltd. undertook licensed archaeological monitoring of groundworks associated with the construction of a solar energy development project located in the townland of Coolroe, Co. Wexford.
The works monitored comprised groundworks to facilitate an approach road, a temporary works compound, access roads, substations and cable trenches.
No features, deposits or objects of archaeological interest were noted over the course of the monitoring works.
