2022:606 - BANOGE, Gorey, Wexford

Archaeological testing was carried out from 1st June 2022 in advance of a permitted Solar PV Farm development in Banoge, Gorey, County Wexford. The site comprised the southern half of a large field and to the east a small field, both under pasture.

In total, fourteen test trenches were opened within the proposed development site; it included trenches cutting across the proposed compound, the access tracks and the solar panel arrays. No archaeological features, sites or soils were identified during the excavation of test trenches.
