Archaeological monitoring was undertaken in advance of a proposed single dwelling development at Kilmuckridge, County Wexford. Monitoring was recommended following a baseline survey (Impact Assessment) undertaken by CRDS Ltd in February 2022, which indicated that there are no recorded archaeological sites or finds from within the proposed development site but that there has been settlement of the wider area since at least the early medieval period.
Monitoring took place on 11 April 2022. No features or finds of archaeological significance were uncovered. As no features or finds of archaeological potential were identified, and no further ground disturbance is required for the proposed development, no further archaeological works were recommended for the site.
