Testing was conducted in the courtyard of an industrial complex at Spoutwell Lane, Mullingar. Due to the limited space, soft soil matrix and water ingress, two trenches were dug. The site has approximately 2m of made ground over a compact grey clay. No remains of archaeological significance were found but monitoring of groundworks following demolition of the extant buildings was recommended.
