Ground works took place between 2 March and 19 April 2022; the area was archaeologically monitored for the installation of picnic areas with associated furniture at the Rock Car Park, Cashel. It involved mechanical excavation of sod removal to a maximum of 0.2m and replacement with base layer of stone chip (Clause 804) and surmounted by concrete surface. The works took place at the west side of the car park as well as in its north-east and south-east corners. No archaeology was encountered during this work.
