Unlicenced archaeological monitoring was carried out by Donald Murphy and Kevin White at Feagh, Moynalty, Co. Meath on 14 March 2022. ME 004-011 (Ringfort/Rath) is located in an adjacent field 126m to the south-west. Monitoring was carried out during the topsoil stripping associated with the proposed driveway,
dwelling house and percolation area. The sod and topsoil (C1) measured 0.34m in depth and lay directly above the natural orange clay and stone (C2). One linear feature (C3) was identified within the plot for the proposed dwelling house. It was orientated east-west, measured 0.48m in width by 0.1m in depth and had been
filled with a light brown silty clay containing moderate inclusions of angular stone and roots. The feature was identified as the remains of a post-medieval field boundary and was not archaeological in nature.
No finds or features of archaeological significance were identified.
