Archaeological testing was carried out on 8 February 2022. The trenches targeted open green space to fully investigate the archaeological potential of the site. There is one recorded monument on the border of the development boundary, LI006-088 a fulacht fiadh recorded during a previous phase of development and archaeological investigation (Licence No. 02E1402).
The current phase of testing revealed nothing of archaeological significance.
The results of the test trenching have identified that much of the site has been previously disturbed during adjacent construction works. Evidence of significant infilling and modern disturbance was identified particularly in the west of the site, and it has been advised that services have recently been installed in the eastern side of the site.
