Stage (i)a Standard Test Excavations and (i)f Townland Boundary Survey took place between 25/07/22 and 03/08/22 on lands acquired for construction of the planned N24 Beary’s Cross Road Improvement Scheme, County Limerick.
During the Stage (i)a testing no sites of archaeological potential were identified. The only features identified were field drains, drainage channels and a probable palaeochannel adjacent to the Groody River. A townland boundary Survey was also carried out on the roadside hedge boundary between Cloghnadromin and Sandylane on the eastern side of the R513 road.
