Monitoring of ground reduction works at Cosgrave Park, Moyross, County Limerick revealed no trace of the site of Moylish Castle (RMP LI-005-0130) indicated on the historical mapping. Disturbed and truncated subsurface remains of two walls, a cobbled surface and a concrete shuttered well were encountered and recorded. These appear to be elements of the 19th-century house named Ballynanty House on historical mapping. These elements appear to date to the latter half of the 19th century and early 20th century. This may in part be due to the heavily disturbed nature of the ground due to prior building and service works carried out in the area since the 1960s. None of these features were considered to be archaeologically significant.
