Ten trenches were excavated across the subject site in advance of the construction of a single house development. An early modern rectangular pit which was filled with a sandy lime mortar was uncovered within one of the trenches. Due to is location within the rear garden area of the house it will not be impacted on during the development. A nail and a piece of brick were uncovered from the top of the pit.
No other archaeological features were uncovered during the testing.
