Archaeological monitoring was conducted for a new private dwelling, to be constructed near the site of a recorded monument (KK032-038) in the townland of Killeen, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny. The licenced monitoring was undertaken in compliance with a condition for a grant of planning permission by Kilkenny County Council.
The development site is in Killeen townland, c.3km south of Inistioge village, at the eastern side of Mount Alto in Co. Kilkenny
No archaeological material was uncovered in the course of the monitoring of ground excavated for the house, driveway and entrance forecourt.
